The Freshwater Solutions team has grown with Becky Bodley and Susan McKegg joining our senior scientist Nick Carter in the Auckland office.  Becky brings with her a wealth of terrestrial ecology experience and gives us the in-house capability to undertake bush and wetland assessments and provide restoration plans and plant and animal pest management plans.  Susan is an ecologist with experience monitoring and assessing the effects of a range of activities on freshwater environments.

We are also excited to have Dr Mike Fitzpatrick joining our team on a more permanent basis.  As one of New Zealand's leading environmental chemists with over 25 years research and consulting experience, Mike has been a key member of the Freshwater Solution's team since the companies formation in 2009.  Mike is becoming more actively involved in environmental consulting after a recent stint pursuing other career interests and will working closely with our Auckland and Tauranga based teams providing water quality expertise into a range of our projects including the Kopeopeo Canal Remediation project in the Bay of Plenty and reconsenting of the Alliance Group Mataura Plant wastewater discharge in Southland.  Mike has experience in chemical analysis, water quality and the monitoring, modelling and assessment of contaminants in the environment and has also worked extensively on the development of aquatic life criteria and on many aspects of the effects of chemicals on human health.
